Tentative Agenda Decision

The Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) is seeking comments from the public for the purpose of formulating responses to the IFRS Interpretations Committee (IFRIC) on the following tentative agenda decisions:

(1)   Assessment of promised goods or services (IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers).

(2)   Liabilities in relation to a joint operator’s interest in a joint operation (IFRS 11 Joint Arrangements).

(3)   Investments in a subsidiary accounted for at cost: Partial disposal (IAS 27 Separate Financial Statements).

(4)   Investments in a subsidiary accounted for at cost: Step acquisition (IAS 27 Separate Financial Statements).

(5)   Deposits relating to taxes other than income tax (IAS 37 Provisions, Contingent Liabilities and Contingent Assets).

(6)   Application of the highly probable requirement in a cash flow hedge relationship (IFRS 9 Financial Instruments and IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement).

There are no specific questions raised but comments are most helpful if they contain a clear rationale and include any alternative the IFRIC should consider.
