Bulgaria requires IFRS starting in 2003As of 1 January 2003, all listed companies, banks, insurance companies, and pension funds in Bulgaria must use International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Other companies may choose to apply IFRS. Bulgarian GAAP will remain an alternative for them until 2005.
