MASB Islamic Technical Unit and Working Group 36

The Islamic Technical Unit (ITU) is part of the MASB secretariat. The ITU supports the MASB by undertaking research on accounting issues identified by the MASB which relate to Islamic finance, as well as co-ordinating meetings and work programmes of Working Group 36 (WG36), Islamic Financial Reporting.

WG36 is responsible for advising the MASB on the appropriateness of proposed and existing accounting standards to Islamic financial transactions, and to make the necessary recommendations. Click here to find out more about WG36.
