Meeting with AIBIM, MIBA, ABM, CTIM on Tax Implication of FRS 139
As part of the implementation of FRS 139 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement, the MASB facilitated a meeting between members of the ABM, MIBA and AIBIM with representatives from the Joint Tax WG on FRS.
The objective of the meeting was to take stock of any tax issues that might still need to be addressed and also any other concerns that financial institutions might have.
The meeting was led by Christine Lau, MASB Project Director for Financial Instruments.
