Meeting with Financial Institutions on FRS 139
As a move to ensure a smooth implementation of the standard on financial instruments, MASB held a special meeting with financial institutions.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss with financial institutions any unresolved issues or concerns in the implementation of FRS 139 Financial Instruments: Recognition & Measurement and update them on the latest development of the IASB’s IAS 39 replacement project.
The meeting was chaired by MASB Chairman, Mohammad Faiz, and it was presented by Christine Lau, MASB Project Director for Financial Instruments.
