Preparatory Meeting of the AOSSG
On 17 April 2009, a preparatory meeting of the Asian-Oceanian Standards Setters Group (AOSSG) was held in Beijing. The preparatory meeting was co-sponsored by the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB), the Brunei Ministry of Finance, the China Accounting Standards Committee (CASC), the Indonesia Institute of Accountants (IAI), the Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ), the Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB), the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB), the Financial Reporting Standards Board of New Zealand, Singapore Accounting Standards Council (ASC, Singapore), the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs (HKICPA) and the Committee for the Registry of Auditors and Accountants (CRAC) of Macau.

1st AOSSG Meeting
On 4 & 5 November 2009, the First Meeting of the Asian-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group (AOSSG) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The meeting was hosted by the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) with a total of 100 participants from 21 standard setting bodies of the Asia and Oceania regions. Also, Sir David Tweedie, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) chairman, four other IASB board members, the IASB Director of International Activities and a trustee of the IASCF were present. The 21 participating standard setting bodies are from Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
2nd AOSSG Meeting
On 29 and 30 September 2010, the second meeting of the Asian-Oceanian Standard Setters Group (AOSSG) was held at the Akihabara Convention Hall in Tokyo. The meeting was hosted by the Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ), and attended by twenty-four accounting standard setting bodies from countries or jurisdictions in the Asian-Oceanian region as well as representatives of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and a Trustee of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation. The participating organizations are from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Dubai, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The accounting standards setting bodies from eight countries or jurisdictions were confirmed as new members of the AOSSG at this meeting.

3rd AOSSG Meeting
On 23 and 24 November 2011, the third annual meeting of the Asian-Oceanian StandardSetters Group was held at the Park Hyatt in Melbourne, Australia. The meeting was hosted by the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and attended by 21 member standard setters as well as representatives of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and representatives of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation.
4th AOSSG Meeting
On 28 and 29 November 2012, the fourth annual meeting of the Asian-Oceanian StandardSetters Group was held at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza in Kathmandu, Nepal. The meeting was hosted by the Nepal Accounting Standards Board (NASB) and attended by 19 member standard-setters as well as representatives of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation.
