The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) has repeated its call for a Government decision on the adoption of International Accounting Standards (IAS) in the Republic of Ireland. It has recommended to the Government that IAS be applied to all companies in the Republic with a three-year transition period to facilitate the changeover.
